20 Entrepreneurs Complete MDP Orientation at JKEDI Jammu under RAMP Scheme

Twenty entrepreneurs completed a one-week Management Development Programme (MDP) orientation training organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Jammu, under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme.

The programme was inaugurated by Sher Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu. It aimed to enhance entrepreneurial capabilities in business management, sustainable practices, and government-supported schemes.

Participants received in-depth training on various initiatives such as Mudra, Start-up India, Stand-Up India, ASPIRE, PMEGP, ZED, LEAN, and the SC/ST Hub. Sessions also included activity-based learning on SWOT analysis, marketing strategies, supply-demand dynamics, and business simulations.

Expert guidance was provided by CA Shubham Gupta on topics including GST, bookkeeping, CGTMSE, working capital management, break-even analysis, and insurance-based risk management. Legal compliance and registration procedures were also covered.

To provide practical exposure, a field visit to industrial units was conducted in collaboration with Lalit Mahajan, Chairman, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), giving participants insights into real-world operations.

The programme also featured modules on leadership, project report writing, branding, packaging, and digital marketing.

The training was coordinated by District Nodal Officer Rajesh Kotwal, with support from Monika Salaria, Rupali Choudhary, and Humera Nazir. The initiative reinforces JKEDI’s role in strengthening the entrepreneurial landscape in Jammu and Kashmir.
