SRINAGAR, MARCH 23: Department of Environmental Science and Eco-Club, Amar Singh College, Srinagar today organized a plantation drive to commemorate International day of Forests.

 

The drive was inaugurated by Prof. Bashir Ahmad Rather, Principal Amar Singh Collage.

 

Free of cost saplings were provided by the Divisional Forest Officer (Research Division), Sonwar.

 

The saplings were planted within the college premises starting from the peripheries of parking space to auditorium park in the campus.

 

Prof. Kawarjeet Singh, Prof. Shazia Habib and Prof. Asma Hussan along with the students of 2nd and 4th semesters planted the saplings to raise awareness and consciousness about environment among the masses.

 

The drive was a huge success, empowering students with substantial knowledge of sustainable environment and the significance of plants.
