APRIL 2: Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma chaired a crucial meeting today in the Conference Hall to review the status of grievances and citizen registrations on the JK Samadhan portal. The primary focus of the meeting was to ensure the timely redressal of public grievances and enhance transparency in the delivery of services across Rajouri district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner thoroughly reviewed the ADC-wise status of grievance registrations and disposals. He directed all concerned officers to expedite both the registration and resolution of grievances, emphasizing the need for quality disposal to ensure maximum citizen satisfaction. The meeting also discussed pending grievances with the relevant officers to facilitate swift and efficient resolution. The aim was to ensure that all grievances, whether new or pending, were addressed promptly and effectively.
In addition to grievance redressal, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of physical verification of development works across the district. He issued clear instructions to the Tehsildars to identify patches of state land and take necessary actions for their proper management. The issuance of category certificates to the general public was another area of focus, with the Deputy Commissioner stressing that there should be no delays in this process.
Emphasizing the importance of transparency in public service delivery, DC Abhishek Sharma urged officers to maintain strict vigilance to ensure that all procedures were carried out transparently and efficiently. He reiterated that the administration’s commitment to good governance was unwavering, and there would be zero tolerance for corruption in any form. The Deputy Commissioner stressed that efficiency and accountability were key to addressing public concerns and ensuring the satisfaction of the people.
The meeting also highlighted the critical role of all officers in the administration’s efforts to enhance public service delivery and ensure that citizens’ grievances were dealt with swiftly. DC Rajouri assured that the district administration would continue to work diligently to improve services and resolve issues in a timely manner.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including ADC Kalakote Tanveer Ahmed, ADC Rajouri Rajiv Khajuria, ADC Sunderbani Rajeev Magotra, ADC Nowshera Babu Ram Tandon, ACP Sheraz Chouhan, SDM Thanamandi Abid Hussain, ACD Vijay Kr Verma, CMO Manohar Rana, along with Tehsildars and BDOs. Together, they deliberated on the steps required to improve the grievance redressal mechanism and ensure that the administration remained accountable to the public.
