RAJOURI, MAY 15: Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria today flagged off the “Swachata Caravan” awareness van to spread the message of cleanliness and sanitation across the district.
The van is equipped with audio-visuals, which will help in educating people about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. The van will cover different blocks, including Dhangri, Doongi, Manjakote and Panjgrain, and engage with people to spread awareness about the benefits of keeping their surroundings clean.
The ADC Rajouri said that the initiative is a part of the ongoing Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which is a nationwide campaign aimed at making India clean and free from open defecation. Through this initiative, the District Administration aims to create a cleaner and healthier environment for the people of Rajouri, he said.
Appealing people to actively participate in the campaign, he said “It is our collective responsibility to keep our villages, towns and cities clean by bringing a behavioural change at individual and community level”
Swachhta pledge was also administered to those who were present on the occasion.
