Awareness Prog for land holders of Sub-Division Bijbehara regarding SVAMITVA and ULPIN

SRINAGAR, MARCH 28: In order to aware the farmers about the benefits of centrally sponsored scheme including Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) as a part of ongoing celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence under ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, an awareness cum interaction programme was organized at Sub-Division Bijbehara today by Directorate of Survey and Land Records South Kashmir.

 

The programme was presided over by the Director Survey and Land Records South Kashmir, Dr. Abdul Hafiz Shah.

 

At the outset of the very exhaustive and comprehensive programme, Director Survey and Land Records South Kashmir informed the participants about the main objective of the SVAMITVA (Survey of Aabadi-Deh) and ULPIN (Unique Land Parcel Identification Number).

 

The participants were apprised that during SVAMITVA whole Aabadi Deh will be measured and surveyed through drone technology and a single individual parcel number will be allotted to each house hold. Besides, a 14 digit ULPIN number will be allotted to each survey number under this scheme.

 

The main objective of the scheme is to minimize the scope of land disputes by bringing greater degree of transparency in revenue records.

 

Besides, Director Survey and Land Records, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tanveer Ahmad Tanveer and Tehsildar Bijbehara Ghulam Rasool Bhat also highlighted the benefits of the scheme to the participants.
