GANDERBAL, JUNE 05: The District Legal Services Authority, (DLSA) Ganderbal today organised an Awareness Programme to observe ‘World Environment Day’, at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal.
The programme was held under the supervision of Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, Ritesh Kumar Dubey and under the guidance of Secretary DLSA Ganderbal, Nusrat Ali Hakak.
This programme promoted awareness and action for the environment and encouraged people to take part in protecting our planet. This year the theme was ‘Ecosystem Restoration’, which highlights the need to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources for healthy living.
Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Qazi Fozia, emphasized that in today’s rapidly growing world, the environment is under severe threat. She said our environment is our responsibility, and if we fail to take care of it, we will face disastrous consequences. She further highlighted that we should create awareness in our community to make our surroundings greener.
