RAJOURI, JUNE 05: The newly inaugurated DM’s Library (Jayshree) in the District Information Centre has witnessed an exceptional response from the students. Within just one day of registration, all available seats were filled, reflecting the student’s enthusiasm and eagerness to access the library’s resources and facilities.
DM’s Library (Jayshree), located in the Office of the District Information Officer Rajouri, aims to promote a culture of reading and learning in the district. Its inauguration marked a significant milestone in enhancing educational opportunities and providing a dedicated space for knowledge-seekers of all ages.
The Deputy Commissioner has officially handed over the functioning and management of the library to the Information Department, emphasising the importance of providing accessible and quality reading material to the community. The collaboration between the District Administration and the Information Department will ensure the smooth operation and development of DM’s Library (Jayshree), catering to the diverse needs and interests of the readers.
Furthermore, following the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, work on establishing an e-library has also commenced. The introduction of the e-library will enhance digital literacy and expand DM’s Library (Jayshree)’s reach, enabling access to a vast collection of digital resources, e-books, research materials, and online databases.
The overwhelming response received by DM’s Library (Jayshree) reflects the collective thirst for knowledge and the community’s desire to engage in intellectual pursuits.
