BANDIPORA NOVEMBER 20: On the Directions of DC Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed, DPO Bandipora Mohammad Ashraf Hakak chairs a meeting of concerned officers to review the status of intensified drives against operation of illegal drug stores in the district.
Assistant Drug Controller Bandipora informed the meeting that Drugs Control Department conducted drives in Bandipora, Sumbal, Hajin, Aloosa blocks of district covering the areas of Ashtingoo, Kehnusa, Aloosa, Binlipora, Ketsun, Onagam, Malangam, Kaloosa, Sumbal, Hajin, Makhdoomyari, Shadipora, Trigam, Odina, Shilvat, Ganastan, Najin, Inderkoot, Nowgam Junction, Sumbal, Naidkhai area, Saderkoot Bala, Ajas Area, Argam, Garoora, Chittybanday, Brar, Gund Dachin, Khanpora, Gamroo and other adjacent areas.
He said the department conducted 89 inspections during last 10 days and closed 09 Shops on spot due to Violations under Drug Act including 03 illegal shifting and 03 without licenses.
He informed that sales for 02 shops has been stopped due to violation of rules.
Speaking on the occasion DPO Bandipora Mohd Ashraf Hakak asked the concerned to continue the drives in order to curb the menace of illegal sale of drugs and to check any kind of irregularities of drug licenses.
He said there is zero tolerance of sale of any kind of illegal drugs and establishment of unlicensed drug stores.
Hakak urged the owners of drug stores to follow rules and regulations and avoid any kind of illegal practices.
