MARCH 30: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is all set to participate in Exercise INIOCHOS-25, a prestigious multinational air exercise hosted by the Hellenic Air Force. This major event will take place at the Andravida Air Base in Greece from March 31 to April 11, 2025. The IAF contingent will consist of Su-30 MKI fighters along with combat enabler aircraft such as the IL-78 and C-17, showcasing India’s advanced air power capabilities on the global stage.
INIOCHOS is a biennial multinational air exercise, providing a platform for air forces from around the world to hone their skills, exchange tactical knowledge, and strengthen military ties. The exercise is designed to integrate a wide range of air and surface assets from participating nations, with a focus on realistic combat scenarios that simulate modern-day air warfare challenges. This collaboration allows air forces to enhance their operational readiness in complex, multi-domain environments.
The IAF is keenly looking forward to participating in Exercise INIOCHOS-25, as it offers a unique opportunity to enhance international cooperation, build synergy, and improve interoperability among the participating air forces. With multiple nations involved, this exercise will serve as a training ground for planning and executing Combined Air Operations (CAO). It will allow the IAF to refine its tactics in complex air warfare scenarios while gaining valuable insights into operational best practices that can be implemented in real-world operations.
All operations during the exercise will be conducted from Andravida Air Base, where the IAF will engage in a variety of training activities alongside other global forces. The primary objective is to strengthen the IAF’s operational capabilities while simultaneously fostering mutual learning and enhanced coordination with allied nations. This exercise is a testament to India’s commitment to developing its air power while working closely with international partners to promote peace, security, and stability.
IAF’s participation in INIOCHOS-25 reflects the nation’s unwavering dedication to global defence cooperation and operational excellence. By engaging with friendly nations in such high-stakes training, India not only enhances its own air force’s capabilities but also deepens strategic partnerships that are essential for global peacekeeping and security operations. INIOCHOS-25 will play a crucial role in reinforcing India’s role as a key player in international defence affairs and will contribute to bolstering joint operational capabilities with participating countries.
