APRIL 27: In a significant outreach initiative, Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Minister Javed Ahmed Rana arrived in Lucknow to engage with students, entrepreneurs, and officials, aiming to foster a sense of security and reassurance among the J&K community residing in Uttar Pradesh.
The visit comes in the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which has caused concern among families and communities from Jammu and Kashmir living outside the Union Territory. Recognizing the anxiety and fear among students and businessmen, Minister Rana has prioritized direct interaction to address their concerns and offer the support of the J&K Government.
Minister Rana is stationed at the VVIP Guest House, Saket, Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Lucknow, where he will be available to meet with students, business leaders, and other individuals from Jammu and Kashmir currently based in Uttar Pradesh. His visit aims not only to provide moral support but also to discuss any issues they may be facing in terms of safety, business operations, or education.
In addition to community interactions, Minister Rana is scheduled to hold meetings with senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh Government. These meetings are expected to focus on the safety and welfare of J&K residents in UP and to enhance coordination between the two administrations to ensure better support systems.
All interested students, entrepreneurs, and community members from Jammu and Kashmir wishing to meet the Minister are encouraged to reach out. They may contact Muddasir Latifi Tasir, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at 9419168268, or Raiyaz Ahmed, Additional Personal Secretary (APS) at 9103792688, for further arrangements.
Minister Rana’s visit underscores the commitment of the J&K administration towards its citizens, even outside its geographical boundaries. His outreach is being seen as a positive move to build trust, promote dialogue, and strengthen the bond between the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the wider Indian community.
The visit is expected to ease tensions among the J&K diaspora in Uttar Pradesh, offering reassurance that the government stands firmly by its people, especially during times of uncertainty.
