January 26, 2025: Lawrence Public School marked the 76th Republic Day with zeal and patriotic spirit in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family. The event highlighted the achievements of girl students who excelled in academics and celebrated the essence of unity and patriotism.
The ceremony recognized the outstanding academic performance of girl students in 10th, 11th, and 12th board examinations. Awards and certificates were presented to Mitali Sharma, Sukriti Khajuria, Khushi Devi, Arushi Khajuria, Apoorva Sharma, Tanvi Jamwal, Mehak Bano, Mitali Pandita, and Ayesha Dar for their dedication and success.
The event was presided over by Sh. Yudhvir Sethi, Hon’ble MLA Jammu East, as the Chief Guest and Lt. General Rakesh Sharma, President of J&K Ex-Services League, as the Guest of Honour. A host of distinguished guests, including Padma Shri Dr. S.P. Varma, Mr. I.D. Soni, and several other eminent personalities, graced the occasion, inspiring the students with their presence.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by cultural performances featuring patriotic songs, dances, and speeches by students and staff. The presence of dignitaries further motivated the students to excel and contribute positively to society.
Mrs. Shivani Joshi, Principal of Lawrence Public School, expressed gratitude to the guests and congratulated the students for their achievements. She emphasized the role of education in shaping compassionate and responsible global citizens and praised the Gandhi Global Family’s efforts under the leadership of Padmabhushan Ghulam Nabi Azad and Padma Shri Dr. S.P. Varma.
The celebration concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving a lasting impression of pride and unity among the attendees.
