MARCH 22: In a melodious tribute to the rich heritage of Dogra culture, the soulful Dogri song “Gall Suni Lai” was officially released today at a grand event held at Platinum Cinemas, Palm Island Mall, Canal Road, Jammu. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of eminent personalities, artists, and music lovers to celebrate regional art and music.
The occasion was graced by the Minister for Tribal Affairs and Forests, Javed Ahmed Rana, who was the chief guest. He praised the creative team behind the project for their dedication to promoting Dogri music and culture. During his speech, Rana reaffirmed the commitment of the Omar Abdullah-led government to supporting regional artists and fostering cultural initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir. His presence underscored the government’s continued efforts to enhance and preserve regional art forms.
The event also featured Padma Shri awardee, Balwant Thakur, a prominent cultural figure and guest of honour, who expressed admiration for the team’s efforts in preserving the rich musical heritage of the Dogra community. Thakur acknowledged the role of art and culture in enriching the identity of Jammu and Kashmir.
Among the distinguished guests were Rakesh Jamwal, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, President of Team Jammu, and renowned artist Bunty Cartoonist. They all lauded the production’s artistic excellence and its contribution to regional culture.
The song, sung by Sonali Dogra and Sourav Shivalaya, captivated the audience with its emotive lyrics and melody. The music video, which features lead actors Surya Divyansh and Shivani Wazir, enhanced the song’s emotional appeal with their powerful performances. Written by lyricist RKT and composed by Musical Mafia, the song’s arrangement was handled by Krishan Kumar Johny. The entire production was a collaborative effort to ensure a visually stunning presentation.
The video’s direction was led by Akash Dogra, with choreography by Divam and assistance from Karan. The energetic performances of dancers Rashita, Amandeep, Urvashi, Shivani, Japneet, Vishali Manhas, Divam, Karan, Lovish, and Lokesh added vibrancy and energy to the song, making it a visually compelling experience for the audience.
