MAY 13: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited Air Force Station (AFS) Adampur today to meet and interact with the country’s brave air warriors and soldiers, acknowledging their immense contributions to national security and expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the nation.

The visit was marked by camaraderie, respect, and inspiration, as the Prime Minister spent time with personnel from the Indian Air Force and the Army, witnessing firsthand the discipline, spirit, and professionalism that define the Indian armed forces.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi posted:
“Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness. India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation.”

The Prime Minister’s interaction included informal conversations with officers and jawans, where he lauded their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation. He expressed deep pride in their service and acknowledged the sacrifices made by service members and their families.

AFS Adampur is one of the key forward bases of the Indian Air Force in the western sector, playing a strategic role in India’s aerial defense operations. The visit by the Prime Minister underlines the government’s continuing efforts to strengthen morale among the armed forces and reaffirm civilian leadership’s support.

Officials at the station gave PM Modi a briefing on recent missions, technological advancements, and operational readiness. The Prime Minister praised the synergy between different wings of the armed forces and their ability to respond swiftly to any challenge.

This visit follows a pattern of the Prime Minister’s direct engagement with troops across India, especially in forward and high-altitude zones, reinforcing the bond between the government and the defense establishment.

As India continues to face evolving security challenges, the leadership’s consistent outreach to defense personnel serves both symbolic and strategic purposes—recognizing the human face of national security and inspiring trust across the ranks.

The visit concluded with group photographs and an air of warmth and gratitude, leaving behind a message of unity, respect, and national pride.
