APRIL 1: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, today flagged off the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji Pracheen Marg Pavitra Chhari Yatra from the Kol Kandoli Temple in Nagrota. The Yatra marks an important religious occasion, honoring the heritage and traditions associated with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.

At the onset of the sacred journey, the Lieutenant Governor offered prayers and obeisance at the Kol Kandoli Temple, a prominent religious site in the region. Shri Sinha, accompanied by other dignitaries, prayed for the well-being, peace, prosperity, and happiness of all. His heartfelt prayers were an expression of his devotion to the revered goddess, as well as his deep concern for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The Lieutenant Governor’s participation in the ceremony reflects the importance of upholding the cultural and spiritual heritage of the region.

Earlier in the day, before the Yatra commenced, the Lieutenant Governor attended the ‘Pratham Pooja’ (first prayer) of the Chhari Yatra. The ceremony was a moment of great spiritual significance, and Shri Sinha took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt greetings to the devotees who had gathered in large numbers to be a part of this sacred occasion. The ‘Pratham Pooja’ is an integral part of the Yatra, marking the beginning of the pilgrimage and invoking blessings for the journey ahead.
