ANANTNAG, FEBRUARY 26: In order to curb the drug menace in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom today chaired the 6th District Level NCORD meeting.
During the meeting, the attendees were apprised about the action taken report of previous meetings held.
The chair was informed that various training/ awareness programmes were held across the district to sensitise the people and victims about the ill effects of drug menace.
The Medical Department and Education department collaboratively imparted training to 1034 staff members to sensitise the officers and officials of other departments besides the students and parents.
NRLM officials said that they have organised 285 camps across the district. They were directed to continue organising awareness camps in various parts of the district in collaboration with other departments including RDD, Social welfare, etc.
