DODA, NOVEMBER 1: The round third of the fourth phase of the ambitious Back to Village Program started today in District Doda after a batch of 79 officers arrived at their allotted panchayats, under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan.
The scheduled activities were conducted in targeted villages by visiting officers as they visited Government offices, Schools, CSCs, Play Grounds, Anganwadi Centres, Tourist places, Banks etc besides, inspecting Amrit Sarovars in the respective Panchayats.
The officers interacted with the PRIs, local Public and the officials from the line departments and educated them about individual and community welfare schemes. They also explained the procedure to avail self employment schemes sponsored by different government organisations/ departments and special initiatives launched by the Government and District administration including Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan, Swach Gaon Sunder Gaon, Innovation Challenge etc.
Besides, many rural assets including Rural Haats and other RDD assets were inaugurated, Land passbooks were distributed among land holders, Golden Health Cards and E- Shram cards were distributed among the beneficiaries.
The DC, in his message, informed the public that this unique initiative of UT administration has a sole motive of bringing administration at the doorsteps of the people. He laid emphasis on the greater public participation in this programme to enable the administration to assess the aspirations of the people. He also urged the public to help the administration in the fight against Drug menace and unhealthy lifestyle. He spoke on the importance of cleanliness and Swachhta in protecting our fragile ecosystem/ environment.
Visiting Officers were accorded grand reception and received overwhelming response from the people on the day one of the 3rd round of Back to Village phase-4 programme.
About 11 officers deputed from GAD visited their allotted panchayats and conducted the scheduled activities. The officers include Shiv Kumar Gupta, Special Secretary to Government Social Welfare department; Pawan Singh Rathore, Special Secretary to Government Hospitality and Protocol Department; Mohammad Shafiq Chak, Director Social Welfare Department Kashmir; Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar; Director Forensic laboratories, and others.
