11 Years of Women-Led Development Under NDA Government: PM

JUNE 08: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has praised the growing role of Indian women in shaping a developed India, describing their journey over the last 11 years as both inspiring and transformative. Sharing his thoughts via posts on social media platform X, the Prime Minister emphasized that “Nari Shakti” is actively driving the mission of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and setting benchmarks across every field.

Reflecting on the challenges once faced by Indian women, PM Modi stated that mothers, sisters, and daughters in the country have overcome significant hurdles. Today, they are not only contributing to the nation’s progress but also excelling in sectors ranging from education and business to science and the armed forces.

He described the accomplishments of Indian women over the past decade as a source of national pride. According to him, the NDA Government has redefined the paradigm of women-led development through various landmark initiatives aimed at providing dignity, security, and economic empowerment.

Among the flagship schemes, the Prime Minister highlighted the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which has brought dignity to women through access to sanitation; the Jan Dhan Yojana, which enabled financial inclusion; and the Ujjwala Yojana, which provided smoke-free kitchens to millions of households. He also underscored how MUDRA loans have empowered lakhs of women to launch businesses and become financially independent.

The PM Awas Yojana, which allocates homes in the names of women, was also noted as a game-changer in enhancing their social and financial security.

PM Modi recalled the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, describing it as a vital national movement that promotes education and protection for the girl child. He remarked that this initiative has changed mindsets and improved gender equity at the grassroots level.

He concluded by celebrating women’s increasing presence in areas like startups, sports, education, science, and even the armed forces, saying that their achievements serve as inspiration for the entire nation.

Using the hashtag #11YearsOfSashaktNari, the Prime Minister’s remarks reflected a continued commitment to inclusive, women-centric policies that aim to uplift and empower every woman in India.
