APRIL 19: In light of the forecast predicting heavy rainfall and stormy conditions across Jammu, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav has directed all departmental officers and officials to remain on high alert to manage any potential emergencies efficiently.
Addressing the concerned teams, Dr. Yadav stressed the importance of proactive readiness and swift response to ensure the safety of citizens and the smooth functioning of essential services. He issued specific instructions to transport officers to oversee the immediate clearance of fallen trees, electric poles, and other debris that may obstruct roads or pose hazards.
“There must be no compromise when it comes to public safety. Every effort should be made to prevent loss of life or property during this period,” the Commissioner asserted.
JMC teams have been instructed to stay fully equipped and maintain close coordination to handle any untoward incidents arising from the adverse weather conditions.
