JUNE 07: On the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Shri Javed Rana, extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, wishing peace, prosperity, and happiness to all.

In his warm message, the Minister said, “May the blessed festival bring peace, prosperity and joy to us all. On this occasion, let us come together to celebrate the true spirit of sacrifice and compassion that defines Eid-ul-Adha.”

The festival, which commemorates the profound faith and ultimate sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), serves as a reminder of selflessness and communal harmony. Minister Rana highlighted the deeper meaning of the celebration, urging citizens to internalize and reflect the values of compassion, sacrifice, and unity in their everyday lives.

“As we commemorate this special day, let us strive to make a positive impact in our communities and spread the values of compassion, kindness and generosity that Eid-ul-Adha embodies,” he said.

Minister Rana also emphasized the significance of social bonding during such festivals and hoped that the joyous occasion would reinforce mutual respect and brotherhood among all communities in Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed optimism that such shared moments of celebration would further deepen the spirit of togetherness and peaceful coexistence across the Union Territory.

He prayed for the well-being of every citizen and underscored the importance of reaching out to the needy and underprivileged during Eid. “The essence of Eid lies not just in celebration, but in the act of sharing and caring for those who are less fortunate,” he added.

As people prepare to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha by offering prayers, sharing meals, and engaging in acts of charity, the Minister’s message serves as a heartfelt reminder of the core values that this significant Islamic festival promotes—faith, humanity, and community service.

His message resonates widely as the region continues to uphold the ideals of unity and brotherhood amidst diversity.
