JAMMU, MARCH 28: In a strong endorsement of Jammu & Kashmir’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted the transformative power of innovation and resilience while addressing the ‘Big Impact Awards J&K 2026’ in Jammu.

The event, organised by Big FM, brought together entrepreneurs, innovators, and achievers from diverse sectors, celebrating those who have turned challenges into opportunities and contributed to the region’s socio-economic growth.

From Consumers to Creators: India’s Shift

In his keynote address, the Lieutenant Governor credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for laying the foundation of a robust innovation-driven economy. He noted that India is steadily transitioning from being a consumer-driven market to a creator-led powerhouse, powered by policy reforms and entrepreneurial spirit.

“India today stands among the most dynamic economies shaping the future,” he remarked, adding that this transformation is not accidental but the result of sustained reforms and the determination of innovators across sectors.

Entrepreneurship Rooted in Resilience

Highlighting the spirit of Jammu & Kashmir’s business community, the LG emphasized that true entrepreneurship lies in the ability to adapt and thrive amid adversity. He praised local entrepreneurs for expanding production capacities and exploring new markets despite challenges such as limited raw material availability.

He underlined that innovation is not a one-time achievement but a continuous journey driven by persistence and courage. “Success comes to those who keep moving forward even in the face of setbacks,” he said, urging young entrepreneurs to stay committed to long-term goals.

Education and Technology Driving Change

Touching upon the education sector, the Lieutenant Governor pointed to the sweeping changes brought about by the National Education Policy (NEP) and the digital shift during the COVID-19 pandemic. He observed that the crisis accelerated the adoption of technology in education, bridging gaps and expanding access even in remote areas.

He added that the integration of research, innovation, and digital tools is laying the groundwork for India to emerge as a global knowledge economy.

A Call for Purpose-Driven Growth

The LG called upon entrepreneurs and professionals to align their efforts with nation-building. He encouraged them to focus not just on business growth but also on creating a positive social impact.

He also proposed expanding the scope of future awards to include the farming community, recognising their critical role in the region’s economy. Additionally, he urged media platforms to actively support campaigns like Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, promoting awareness and social responsibility.

Celebrating Change-Makers

During the समारोह, the Lieutenant Governor felicitated awardees who have made notable contributions across industries. He commended them for setting examples of innovation and resilience, particularly in challenging circumstances.

The gathering reflected a larger narrative—one where Jammu & Kashmir is steadily emerging as a hub of creativity, enterprise, and forward-thinking leadership.

A Region on the Rise

The address concluded with a powerful message: in an era defined by constant change, innovation and determination remain the strongest tools for progress. With supportive policies and a growing pool of talent, Jammu & Kashmir is poised to play a significant role in India’s journey towards becoming a global economic leader.
