JAMMU, FEBRUARY 16: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo today chaired a meeting to finalise Annual Action Plan of various centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) in the Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries for financial year 2023-24 at Civil Secretariat here.
The meeting was attended by Secretary in Agriculture, Shabnam Kamili; Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Shubhra Sharma, Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Krishan Lal and other officers. Kashmir based officers participated in the meeting through video conference.
During the meeting, the ACS stressed on judicious spending and proactive implementation of the schemes. He said that proper planning before execution is crucial for the success of these ambitious schemes.
Atal Dulloo, during the meeting, also deliberated upon different ways of employment generation in these sectors and breed improvement in the animals and sheep husbandry sectors.
The participants during the meeting also discussed about Refresher training for eligible candidates and local youth in artificial insemination. It was emphasised that standard practices and trained practitioners are needed for the animal and sheep husbandry sectors.
The meeting also held detailed discussions on action plan for schemes like Assistance to States for Control of Animal Diseases (ASCAD), National Livestock Mission (NLM), Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM), National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) and Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) besides few others.
