JUNE 22: The Raksha Mantri, Shri Rajnath Singh, will release the second volume of President Droupadi Murmu’s speeches titled “Wings to Our Hopes – Volume II” (English) and “Ashaon Ki Udaan – Khand 2” (Hindi) on June 23, 2025, in a ceremonial event at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event will also be graced by Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan.

Published by the Publications Division under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the book is a curated compilation of 51 speeches delivered by President Smt. Droupadi Murmu during her second year in office (August 2023 – July 2024). The volume reflects her thoughts on governance, inclusivity, youth empowerment, education, innovation, national values, and India’s future.

“Wings to Our Hopes – Volume II” offers readers deep insight into the President’s vision, social priorities, and inclusive leadership. It captures her addresses at prestigious forums, convocation ceremonies, commemorative events, and public outreach occasions—highlighting a balanced perspective on India’s socio-economic journey and constitutional values.

The books are being released in both Hindi and English, with e-versions also made available to ensure wider reach and accessibility.

The Publications Division, responsible for curating and publishing the compilation, has long served as the Government of India’s leading publishing house, documenting and preserving India’s intellectual, political, and cultural heritage. It has previously released important collections including the selected speeches of past Presidents and Prime Ministers, as well as literature on the freedom movement, arts, and governance.

The launch of this new volume symbolizes continuity and transparency in the highest office of the land, reinforcing the relevance of public discourse and thought leadership. It will also serve as a vital resource for academicians, students, policymakers, and researchers, offering them a holistic understanding of India’s journey through the lens of its first tribal woman President.
