C-DOT Organizes Demo Day for Samarth Startups; Top Five Secure Stage-II Grants

SEP 30: The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), an autonomous R&D body under the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, recently organized a Demo Day for 18 startups selected under its “Samarth” incubation program. Launched in March 2025, the program is designed to support innovators working in telecom, cybersecurity, 5G/6G, artificial intelligence, IoT, and quantum technologies.

The Samarth program is structured in two cohorts of six months each, with capacity to nurture up to 36 startups. Each participant receives comprehensive support including mentorship from C-DOT scientists, industry-led acceleration sessions, furnished office space at C-DOT campuses in Delhi and Bengaluru, access to advanced lab facilities, and financial grants.

During the Demo Day, the 18 startups from the first cohort showcased the progress they had achieved in line with the problem statements assigned to them. Based on their performance, five promising startups were selected for Stage-II grants of up to ₹5 lakh each. The selected startups include Turtleneck Systems & Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Purvanchal Engineering Systems Pvt. Ltd., Vital Carbon Pvt. Ltd., Agriverse Innovations Pvt. Ltd., and Jumps Automation LLP.

Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO of C-DOT, applauded the collaborative spirit of the startups, mentors, and partners like Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and TiE Delhi-NCR. He emphasized that through Samarth, C-DOT aims to foster an enabling ecosystem that nurtures innovation, strengthens India’s digital growth, and advances the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Senior dignitaries including Ms. Shikha Shrivastava, Executive Vice President, C-DOT; Sh. Arvind Kumar, DG, STPI; and Ms. Geetika Dayal, DG, TiE Delhi-NCR, were present at the event. Investors, venture capitalists, and industry leaders also engaged with the startups, paving the way for potential collaborations and future funding opportunities.
