APRIL 10: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha attended the grand celebration of Navkar Mahamantra Divas at Raj Bhavan, marking a spiritually uplifting occasion dedicated to peace, compassion, and collective well-being.
The Lieutenant Governor extended his heartfelt felicitations to citizens from diverse walks of life, along with members of the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO), SS Jain Sabha, senior officials, and various other dignitaries who came together to participate in the collective recitation of the sacred Navkar Mahamantra.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor reflected on the timeless spiritual significance of the Navkar Mahamantra. “For thousands of years, several significant mantras have guided the path of seekers and devotees. Among them, Navkar Mahamantra’s aura and essence of divinity is unique,” he said.
He further highlighted that the Navkar Mahamantra, one of the most revered and universal chants, inspires inner transformation and fosters spiritual awakening across faiths and cultures. “Where there is love and harmony, there is God. It is true power. A man is closest to God when his heart is filled with goodwill,” the LG observed.
Emphasizing the importance of spiritual values in modern society, the Lieutenant Governor said, “It is my firm belief that the most precious assets of society are love, harmony, peace, and compassion. A person full of these qualities can uplift humanity.”
He also spoke about the deeper purpose of human life. “I believe that the true meaning of life lies in self-discovery. When we know ourselves, one thing becomes clear – God has not given us this life for small things, but for a big purpose, and that is selfless service to society and the welfare of all living beings.”
This year’s celebration of Navkar Mahamantra Divas took on a global dimension, with participants from over 108 countries uniting in the spirit of peace and universal harmony. The occasion called upon individuals to reflect on values such as self-purification, tolerance, and collective upliftment.
