NOV 07: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, chaired a comprehensive review meeting to evaluate the progress of the Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture & Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) and the Kisan Khidmat Ghar (KKG) programme—two flagship initiatives aimed at strengthening agricultural growth across Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Production Department Shailendra Kumar, Managing Director HADP Sandeep Kumar, senior departmental officers, and all Deputy Commissioners via video conference.

The Chief Secretary emphasized effective on-ground implementation and continuous monitoring to ensure timely benefits to farmers. He directed DCs to engage directly with beneficiaries, identify bottlenecks, and ensure prompt redressal. Stressing inclusivity, he urged collaboration with women SHGs under JKRLM and use of Mission YUVA data to reach youth and vulnerable communities through targeted awareness drives.

ACS Shailendra Kumar informed that the programme covers 90 blocks with focused inclusion—47% women, 30% youth, and 10% vulnerable groups. He reported approvals worth ₹47 crore through DLCs last month, with an annual work plan of ₹150 crore. MD HADP Sandeep Kumar added that 20,873 registrations and 9,823 approvals have been achieved, covering 7,156 kanals and benefiting thousands of households.

The Chief Secretary urged all stakeholders to expedite implementation, improve coordination, and ensure the twin programmes lead to enhanced farmer income, climate resilience, and sustainable agricultural development across the Union Territory.
