UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 04: The senior students of PG Department of English on Saturday organised a fresher party in the conference hall of the College, to welcome the newcomers in the Masters Programme with full zeal and enthusiasm.
The Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta was the chief guest.
The programme started with the welcoming of the chief guest and the faculty of English by Sheetal Sharma.
The chief guest Prof.(Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, while addressing the staff and students wished them good luck for organizing a wonderful welcome party for the fresher, which is a good tradition . He apprised all about the grand stature of this octogenarian college that has B++ grade in the recent NAAC Accreditation for the third cycle and stressed that they shall make a holistic development by participating in curricular as well as co-curricular activities of the college. He advised them to follow three Ks (Kyon, Kab or Kaise) to have an Inquisitive, life-long and powerful learning.
The students of PG sem-3 entertained all present by displaying their talent in singing, dance and games. They made the moments very memorable for all the newcomers and the faculty.
Several games and competitions were held for the fresher for the Lead title of Best Fresher, which was won by Tarranum Gupta.
On the request of the students, Dr. Pankaj Sharma and Prof. Shaji Khan enthralled all present with their singing.
On the occasion, Dr. Naresh Sharma, HOD English also spoke to the students and motivated them to achieve the best in English for which he assured all sorts of support. The Programme was witnessed by Dr. Naresh Sharma, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Dr. Kawaljeet Kour, Prof. Shaji Khan, Dr. Rupali Sharma, Dr. Diksha Gupta and Prof. Rohit Sharma.
