Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan: Focus on Welfare of Rakh Barotian & Bari Brahmana Villages

JUNE 11: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma, chaired an important meeting to review and streamline Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities under the Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, with a special focus on achieving 100% benefit saturation for tribal communities in the villages of Rakh Barotian and Bari Brahmana.

The meeting was convened to assess the progress of various ongoing welfare schemes and to ensure that the benefits of government-sponsored initiatives are reaching every eligible member of the tribal population. Officers from various line departments participated in the meeting and presented updates on the implementation status of key schemes aimed at the socio-economic upliftment of tribal communities.

During the meeting, DC Rajesh Sharma emphasized the importance of a coordinated and proactive approach in delivering government benefits efficiently. He directed officials to intensify IEC activities to raise awareness among tribal families about the numerous welfare schemes available to them, including those related to healthcare, education, housing, livelihoods, and skill development.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed that no eligible beneficiary should be left behind due to lack of information or procedural delays. He called for door-to-door outreach campaigns, community awareness drives, and regular monitoring to ensure that each family is covered under the benefits they are entitled to receive. The timely updating of beneficiary data and the establishment of grievance redressal mechanisms were also discussed as crucial measures to facilitate smooth service delivery.

Highlighting the significance of the Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, DC Sharma reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive development and equitable growth, particularly for marginalized and vulnerable sections of society. He underscored that the administration is dedicated to bringing meaningful improvements in the lives of tribal communities by removing bottlenecks and ensuring accountability at all levels of governance.

Officials from various departments shared their respective action plans and proposed strategies to address challenges in implementation. The Deputy Commissioner instructed all departments to work in close coordination and maintain constant communication with field officers to ensure that targets are achieved within the stipulated timelines.
