17 Self-Employment Cases Approved Under Mission YUVA in Reasi

JUNE 11: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik, IAS, chaired the first District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting under Mission YUVA in Reasi. The meeting focused on evaluating and approving self-employment proposals aimed at empowering local youth, particularly those from marginalized and economically weaker sections.

During the session, the committee reviewed multiple applications submitted by aspiring entrepreneurs under the self-employment program. After careful examination and verification by the Skill and Business Development Unit (SBDU), 17 self-employment cases were approved for financial assistance. These approvals mark a significant step toward encouraging youth entrepreneurship and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Nidhi Malik emphasized the importance of Mission YUVA as a transformative initiative designed to uplift youth by providing them with financial support, skill development, and business opportunities. She stressed that the government is committed to ensuring that deserving youth, especially those from marginalized backgrounds, have access to resources that can help them establish successful ventures and achieve financial independence.

The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that empowering youth is a key priority of the administration, as it not only promotes individual growth but also contributes to the overall socio-economic development of the region. She urged all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure timely processing of applications, effective monitoring, and proper utilization of funds allocated under the mission.

DC Malik also encouraged youth to take full advantage of various government initiatives like Mission YUVA, which are designed to nurture entrepreneurial spirit and reduce unemployment. She assured that the administration would continue to provide the necessary guidance and support to help young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into viable businesses.

The meeting also discussed strategies to further streamline the implementation of the program, ensuring transparency and accountability in the selection and funding process. Officials present at the meeting were directed to extend hand-holding support to the selected beneficiaries, guiding them through the various stages of business establishment and operations.

The DLIC meeting concluded with a collective resolve to maximize outreach, expedite pending cases, and ensure that more youth from the district are able to benefit from the self-employment schemes being offered under Mission YUVA.
