DODA, MAY 09: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vishesh Mahajan today inaugurated E-Kaksha (Online Classes) to reach out to the students of far flung areas of the district with subject experts by using ICT labs available at DIET Complex.
The move will help to provide students of the far off schools education at par with students studying in the reputed institutions of the UT. On the occasion, a live demonstration of virtual class was given by the teachers on a big LED digital screen.
The DC, while speaking on the occasion, said that the virtual school (Online classes) is a digital platform developed to impart quality and inspiring education to the students of rural schools. The classes shall also be used for their career counselling by the reputed Career Counsellors, he said. “To mitigate the deficiency of teaching staff, especially subject specific teachers we have launched e-Kaksha by engaging the teaching staff of the schools falling within the Doda Municipality area under ADBHUT Doda initiative,” the DC said.
He urged the teaching staff to bring the students on this platform to update their skills in the field of education and make them capable of competing with fellow students at UT and national level.
The officers present at the inaugural function of virtual school classes were CEO Parshotam Kumar Gouria; Principal DIET, Headmaster of Govt Middle School boys Doda, Teachers and the students.
