BANDIPORA, MARCH 01: The District Employment and Counseling Centre (DE&CC) Bandipora in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora on Wednesday organized a day-long awareness about job oriented schemes besides a Job Fair under Mission Youth.
The awareness programme was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan and attended by BDO Arin, PRI members, Officials of DE&CC and a large gathering of local youth.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from job seekers as over 300 unemployed youth including Youth Club members participated in the event at these blocks including Arin and Bonakoot.
During the program, Officers informed the youth about various job avenues and hand holding schemes for establishment of income generation units. They explained to them the procedures for availing the benefits and also shared success stories of those who have already availed the opportunity and are successfully earning their livelihood to motivate others.
Earlier, as many as 10 employers from different companies like SBI Life, HDFC, LIC of India and Am Hyundai, Suzuki, Hope School participated in a Job Fair that was organised by the department.
Career Counselling officer, Saima Bhat said the awareness was part of the series of activities taking place under Mission Youth to revitalize the Youth clubs.
