Swachhata Hi Seva Initiative in Full Swing
As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, Shri B. L. Verma, Hon’ble Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, spearheaded a Special Cleanliness Drive titled “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Sath” on 25th September 2025. The event took place at the campus of the Mahila Imdad Committee (MIC), which has been identified as a Cleanliness Target Unit (CTU) by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment (DoSJ&E).
Collective Participation and Impact
The drive witnessed the active participation of Shri Amit Yadav, Secretary, DoSJ&E, along with officers, staff, autonomous organizations, commissions, and corporations functioning under the Ministry. Their combined efforts gave momentum to the campaign, highlighting the power of teamwork in achieving cleanliness goals. From 17th to 25th September 2025, nearly four dump truck loads of waste were removed from the MIC campus, marking a significant step toward restoring the premises.
Shramdaan and Minister’s Guidance
Leading by example, Shri B. L. Verma personally participated in Shramdaan by removing garbage and dirt from the campus. He emphasized the need for sustained cleanliness, proper maintenance, and optimum utilization of the MIC campus for community welfare and public service activities.
Commitment to a Cleaner and Inclusive India
The Special Cleanliness Drive reinforced the message of collective responsibility in building a clean and inclusive society. With initiatives like these, the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign continues to inspire citizens and institutions alike to contribute towards the vision of a cleaner, healthier, and self-reliant India.
