SEP 16: Minister Sakeena Itoo flagged off the pre-final MBBS batch of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar for a 15-day All India Educational Tour, aimed at enhancing students’ academic and clinical skills. The initiative provides aspiring doctors with first-hand exposure to India’s leading medical institutions, hospitals, and research centres.

Addressing the students, Minister Itoo emphasized the importance of practical learning alongside classroom education. She highlighted that such tours help young medical professionals broaden their knowledge, observe best practices, and engage in interactive workshops and clinical training sessions. The program is designed to strengthen their understanding of diverse medical practices and research methodologies across the country.

During the tour, the MBBS students will visit top-tier medical colleges, renowned hospitals, and advanced research centres, participating in academic interactions, skill development workshops, and clinical demonstrations. This exposure will enable students to witness cutting-edge technologies, patient management techniques, and innovative healthcare solutions.
