AUG 13: Patriotism swept through Ganderbal on Tuesday as thousands of residents gathered to participate in a grand Tiranga Rally under the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The event, held in the run-up to Independence Day 2025, saw the streets of the town adorned with the colours of the national flag and filled with chants of unity and pride.
Led by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, the rally drew an overwhelming response from citizens across age groups, including schoolchildren, youth, women, and elderly participants. Carrying the tricolour high, the crowd marched in unison, transforming the town into a vibrant display of national unity.
The Mega Tiranga Rally commenced from the district headquarters, winding through key streets and localities before culminating at a central venue where the national anthem was sung in a powerful collective voice. Local administration officials, police personnel, community leaders, and volunteers actively took part, ensuring smooth coordination and security for the massive gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Jatin Kishore praised the enthusiasm and discipline shown by participants, noting that such initiatives strengthen the bond between citizens and the nation. He encouraged residents to continue displaying the tricolour at their homes and workplaces, echoing the vision of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign launched under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Participants described the rally as an emotional and unifying experience. “It’s not just about carrying the flag; it’s about carrying the spirit of India,” said one young attendee. For many, it was an opportunity to instill patriotism in the younger generation while celebrating the sacrifices that brought the nation its freedom.
As Ganderbal now prepares for the Independence Day celebrations, the Mega Tiranga Rally stands as a testament to the region’s enduring commitment to national pride and unity.
