Interactive Training Held Under Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program in New Delhi

MAY 11: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) organized a comprehensive and interactive training programme under the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program in New Delhi. This initiative, undertaken in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission, reflects the Government of India’s ongoing commitment to modernizing governance and enhancing the skills, efficiency, and responsiveness of public servants.

The training session was designed to build core competencies among officers serving in key administrative roles. Participants included Assistant Section Officers, Section Officers, and Under Secretaries from various government departments. The goal of the programme was to foster professional growth, develop critical soft and leadership skills, and encourage collaborative problem-solving approaches within the government machinery.

The interactive training was graced by the presence of Secretary Shri V. Srinivas from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. In his address, he emphasized the transformational potential of capacity-building initiatives. He noted that programmes like the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program serve as catalysts for fostering better teamwork, stronger inter-departmental bonding, and a more efficient administrative environment. Shri Srinivas reiterated the government’s dedication to creating a citizen-centric and performance-driven bureaucracy by equipping officers with relevant tools and knowledge.

Ms. Sarita Taneja, Deputy Secretary and Master Trainer, led the interactive sessions. She engaged the officers in practical discussions and group activities aimed at improving communication, decision-making, and coordination within their respective teams. Her session was well-received, with participants actively contributing their experiences and insights.

The training underscored the broader vision of Mission Karmayogi — a national programme focused on civil services reform and lifelong learning for public servants. It aims to create a future-ready government workforce capable of addressing evolving challenges and delivering quality public service.

By encouraging participation, collaboration, and continuous learning, the programme demonstrated how strategic training interventions can build a more capable, responsive, and citizen-friendly administration. The event concluded with positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the opportunity to enhance their skills and connect with peers from different departments.

The Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program continues to stand as a flagship initiative for empowering India’s civil servants and strengthening the overall governance ecosystem.
