Jammu, October 24: Jammu is set to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, traditional craftsmanship and culinary diversity of Jammu and Kashmir with Jammu Expo 2.0, scheduled to be held from November 2 to 4 at Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar.
Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), the three-day expo will bring together more than 60 exhibitors, offering visitors an opportunity to explore locally made products, traditional crafts and the region’s distinctive food traditions.
The event will feature products under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, highlighting the unique offerings of different districts and promoting locally manufactured and traditional products. The exhibition aims to provide greater visibility to local entrepreneurs, artisans and businesses while encouraging people to support homegrown products.
Authentic Dogri cuisine will be another major attraction, giving visitors an opportunity to experience the traditional flavours of the Jammu region. Cultural performances will further add to the event, celebrating the diverse traditions and artistic heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
The expo will also highlight the contribution of rural women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs), providing them with a platform to showcase their products and connect with potential customers. Their participation is expected to bring attention to grassroots entrepreneurship and the role of women in strengthening local livelihoods.
By bringing together crafts, cuisine, cultural performances and locally produced goods, Jammu Expo 2.0 aims to create a platform for cultural exchange, business promotion and community participation. The event will also offer exhibitors an opportunity to present their products to a wider audience.
The expo reflects the importance of promoting the region’s traditional skills and indigenous products while creating greater awareness about the economic potential of local enterprises.
