JUNE 15: In a major push toward fostering self-reliance and youth empowerment, a Potential Entrepreneurship Mela was organized under the ambitious Mission YUVA initiative across all districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The event received an overwhelming response, with more than 10,000 young participants enthusiastically taking part in this large-scale outreach program.

The initiative, aimed at igniting entrepreneurial aspirations and encouraging self-employment among the youth, featured a wide array of activities designed to educate and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs. The mela served as a dynamic platform for young individuals to explore opportunities in the fields of entrepreneurship, nano enterprises, and locally driven livelihood ventures.

One of the key highlights of the event was the on-the-spot registration drive through the Mission YUVA App and Portal, ensuring that interested youth could instantly access government schemes, startup support, and business development assistance. These digital touchpoints allowed real-time engagement, making information and services more accessible to the public.

The mela featured interactive sessions, informational stalls, and field-level engagement where domain experts, government officials, and successful entrepreneurs shared insights, practical knowledge, and motivational guidance with the participants. These engagements provided clarity on various government-backed schemes, funding avenues, skill-building resources, and steps to start and sustain a small enterprise.

The Potential Entrepreneurship Mela is part of a broader strategy under Mission YUVA to cultivate an ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic independence among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. By encouraging youth to shift from job-seeking to job-creating, the mission envisions a future where young individuals are key drivers of economic growth and social development.

Officials emphasized that such outreach events are essential for reaching rural and urban youth alike, breaking barriers of awareness and accessibility. The successful execution of this event across all districts is a testament to the growing interest in entrepreneurship among J&K’s youth and the government’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for them to thrive.

With continued support and sustained follow-ups, Mission YUVA is poised to become a cornerstone in building a self-reliant, innovative, and empowered youth population in Jammu and Kashmir.
