MAY 07: A condolence meeting was held today at the Office of the Advocate General, Jammu, to pay homage to Ramesh Arora, Senior Additional Advocate General, who passed away recently. The gathering came together to mourn his untimely demise and celebrate his significant contributions to the legal fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting was led by Monika Kohli, Senior Additional Advocate General, who was joined by a large number of legal dignitaries, including other Senior Additional Advocate Generals, Additional Advocate Generals, Deputy Advocate Generals, Government Advocates, and staff members of the Advocate General’s Office. The room was filled with a somber atmosphere as colleagues and friends came together to remember the late legal stalwart.
In her tribute, Monika Kohli expressed deep sorrow at the loss, calling Arora a towering figure in the legal community, a dedicated public servant, and a person of high moral integrity. She highlighted his long-standing service to the state and his profound impact on the legal system. According to her, Ramesh Arora’s work ethic, professional acumen, and commitment to justice will serve as an inspiration for generations of legal professionals.
Other members of the legal fraternity also shared their memories and expressed their grief over the loss of a respected colleague. The speakers praised Arora’s contributions not only as a legal professional but also as a guide and mentor to many junior law officers.
As a gesture of respect and mourning, a two-minute silence was observed by all present. The gathering concluded with heartfelt prayers for peace to the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.
