JAMMU, March 24: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday flagged off the 24th Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji Pracheen Marg Pavitra Chhari Yatra from the historic Kol Kandoli Temple in Nagrota.
The Lieutenant Governor participated in the sacred ‘Pratham Pooja’, formally marking the beginning of the annual spiritual यात्रा. He offered prayers at the temple, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for all.
Devotees Join Spiritual Journey
After the ceremonial flag-off, the Chhari Yatra, carrying the holy Jyot, began its journey along the traditional heritage route. The yatra is scheduled to reach the Oli Mata Temple, following the revered ancient path associated with the pilgrimage.
The Lieutenant Governor also interacted with devotees and extended his greetings on the auspicious occasion, appreciating their devotion and participation.
Participation of Public Representatives
Member of Legislative Assembly Nagrota Devyani Rana, along with members of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji Pracheen Marg Shrines Sanstha, senior officials, and prominent citizens, attended the flag-off ceremony.
A large number of devotees gathered at the temple to witness the event and be part of the spiritual procession, reflecting strong faith and cultural significance attached to the yatra.
The आयोजन highlights the importance of preserving traditional pilgrimage routes while promoting the rich spiritual heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
