MARCH 31: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha visited the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Jammu to enquire about the health of J&K Police personnel who were injured during an encounter with terrorists in Kathua.The Lieutenant Governor was briefed by a team of senior doctors about the health condition of the injured personnel, including SDPO Border, Kathua, Shri Dheeraj Katoch, and SPO Bharat Jalhotra. The medical team provided an update on the procedures being followed to treat the injured officers and the progress of their recovery.
The Lieutenant Governor expressed his deep concern for the brave police personnel and praised their courage and dedication in the face of danger. He assured the family members of the injured officers that the administration would provide all possible assistance and support during their recovery.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor also interacted with the family members of SDPO Dheeraj Katoch and SPO Bharat Jalhotra. He assured them that the government would extend all necessary help to ensure the best possible medical care and a speedy recovery for the injured officers. LG Sinha emphasized that the government is fully committed to the welfare of the J&K Police personnel who risk their lives to protect the region.
Furthermore, the Lieutenant Governor directed the Hospital Administration to ensure that the best possible medical care is provided to the injured officers, with the aim of facilitating their swift recovery. He commended the doctors and medical staff at GMC Jammu for their dedication in treating the injured police personnel.
The encounter in Kathua involved a fierce confrontation between the J&K Police and terrorists, during which the two officers sustained injuries while bravely carrying out their duties. The Lieutenant Governor’s visit is a reflection of the administration’s unwavering support for the police force and its commitment to their welfare and safety.
The Lieutenant Governor also conveyed his appreciation to all the security personnel who are working tirelessly to maintain peace and security in the region, acknowledging their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
