OCT 03: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo visited Langkhull Nandimarg in Kulgam district today to meet families affected by a recent fire and personally distributed relief cheques.
During her visit, the Minister interacted with the affected families, expressing solidarity and assuring them of full government support. She emphasized that the administration has been instructed to ensure swift rehabilitation and timely relief, enabling families to rebuild their lives promptly.
Sakeena Itoo also highlighted that the government will provide both short-term and long-term assistance, including support under various welfare schemes. She reiterated that the welfare of citizens, particularly those facing sudden calamities, remains a top priority of the Omar Abdullah-led Government.
Additionally, the Minister directed officials to expedite damage assessments and ensure no household is left out of relief measures, reflecting the Government’s commitment to effective disaster management and rehabilitation.
