MAY 17: Minister Sakeena Itoo recently highlighted the government’s steadfast commitment to public welfare and responsive governance during a public outreach event in Srinagar. Speaking to a gathering of dozens of local delegations, she emphasized that the Raabita initiative stands as a clear reflection of the administration’s dedication to addressing the concerns of the people in a timely and effective manner.
Raabita, a key program designed to foster direct engagement between the public and the government, was praised by Minister Itoo for its role in enhancing transparency, building trust, and ensuring that citizen grievances are not just heard but swiftly resolved. “This initiative is a direct reflection of our government’s commitment to responsive governance and the welfare of our people. We are focused on meeting the needs of the public and ensuring that no issue is left unaddressed,” Itoo said during the event.
The Minister engaged with various delegations, which represented different sectors, including healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social welfare. The groups shared their concerns and sought immediate intervention from the government. Whether it was related to delays in public projects, infrastructure development, or healthcare facilities, the delegations expressed their frustrations and hopes for a prompt resolution.
Minister Itoo assured the attendees that their concerns would be given the highest priority. She directed the concerned departments to act swiftly on the issues raised, particularly those related to essential public services and developmental work. “We are committed to resolving these concerns as quickly as possible. Every issue you raised will be reviewed, and actions will be taken without delay,” Itoo assured the delegations.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue between the public and the government, stating that the outreach initiatives would continue to play a central role in ensuring that the government remains responsive to the needs of its people. She reaffirmed the government’s dedication to fostering a more inclusive, accessible, and accountable administration.
