JULY 20: In a meeting held in the national capital yesterday, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi appreciated the efforts of Shri Venu Srinivasan and Shri Sudarshan Venu of TVS Motor Company for their initiative to spotlight the scenic beauty of Kutch, Gujarat. The two senior executives from TVS Motor Company met the Prime Minister and discussed their ongoing campaign that aims to promote Kutch as a destination for motorcycle tourism.
The Prime Minister responded warmly to a post shared by TVS Motor Company on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledging their contribution to both tourism and adventure travel in India. Shri Modi posted:
“Glad to have met Shri Venu Srinivasan Ji and Mr. Sudarshan Venu. I commend them for the effort to chronicle the beauty of Kutch and also encourage motorcyclists to go there.”
The initiative by TVS Motor focuses on showcasing Kutch’s diverse landscape, cultural richness, and adventure-friendly routes. With its vast salt flats, historic villages, and wildlife sanctuaries, Kutch offers a unique terrain that appeals to explorers and long-distance riders alike. The campaign not only celebrates the natural charm of the region but also aligns with the government’s broader vision of promoting sustainable and experience-driven tourism in India.
TVS Motor has been actively supporting motorcycling communities and touring enthusiasts across the country. Their latest efforts in Gujarat include organizing group rides, creating route maps, and documenting the region through digital storytelling. These steps are intended to inspire more riders to explore the lesser-known gems of India, particularly in states like Gujarat.
The Prime Minister’s endorsement is expected to provide a major boost to the region’s tourism prospects and inspire other corporates to adopt similar initiatives that marry business interests with regional promotion.
With the growing interest in adventure tourism and road travel in India, such collaborations between the private sector and government vision are key to tapping the country’s rich geographic and cultural diversity.
