Public outreach programme held at Pulwama

 

PULWAMA APRIL 06: Following the Directions of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary, Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Zaffar Ahmad Shawl presided over a public outreach programme at Larkipora, Padgampora of Pulwama to address public demands and grievances.

 

The programme witnessed participation of a large number of individuals and deputations who projected their demands and appraised the ADC about the problems being faced by the inhabitants of the area.

On the occasion locals sought early resolution of their issues which included reparation of mechanical failure of water filtration plant and its restoration, extension of road connectivity, blacktopping of interior roads by R&B, installation of new transformer at Larkipora-A, installation of drought irrigation pump, land for playground, electric poles and improvement of HT/LT line, upgradation health education infrastructure and land for primary school at Larkipora A.

 

After giving patient hearing to the demands of people, ADC passed on spot instructions to the concerned departments for time bound resolution of all the genuine issues. ADC Awantipora assured prompt action on genuine demands. The ADC resolved the long pending demand of Playground on spot, and provided the identified land to concerned authorities for development.

 

He directed departments to address all public grievances systematically and provide services as per the directions of the Government.

 

He said the motive behind Public outreach programmes and Public Darbars is to get first hand appraisal of the problems and development needs of the people besides working out the mechanism to address them in a time bound manner.

 

He assured people that the projected issues will be looked into and efforts will be made to redress them on priority basis.

 

Among others, the Public outreach programme was also attended by Tehsildar Awantipora, AEE Irrigation, JE R&B, ZPEO Sports, Representatives from RDD Department, Senior citizens and youths from the said village.
