MARCH 27: Minister for FCS & CA, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, launched the Dogri calendar “Sadda Labba Saddi Pachaan” 2025 at the Fountain Light and Sound Stage, Bagh-e-Bahu. The event was a grand celebration of Jammu’s rich cultural heritage, with a focus on preserving the region’s historical landmarks and the essence of Dogra culture.

In his address, Satish Sharma emphasized the significance of Jammu as a “Land of Maharajas,” acknowledging the region’s royal legacy, which continues to inspire generations. “Jammu is a land of kings, of legends, and of a proud legacy that continues to inspire,” he remarked. He further stressed the responsibility of preserving and promoting this heritage for future generations. “Initiatives like this play a crucial role in that mission,” Sharma added, praising the organizers for their efforts in showcasing the region’s unique heritage in such a captivating manner.

The event not only honored Dogra culture but also highlighted the historic monuments that define Jammu’s identity. The Minister pointed out that these monuments are not just physical structures but living symbols of the region’s history, struggles, and triumphs. “These monuments are more than just stones; they are living symbols of our history, our struggles, and our triumphs. This calendar, with its stunning visuals, will serve as a reminder to all of us about the importance of safeguarding these landmarks,” Sharma said.

The 2025 Dogri calendar features breathtaking visuals of Jammu’s iconic historical sites, including the Akhnoor Fort, Pandav Gufa, and other significant landmarks that reflect the region’s royal history. The calendar beautifully blends tradition with artistry, with male and female models dressed in traditional Dogra attire, offering a glimpse into the craftsmanship and elegance that has been integral to Dogra culture for centuries.

The launch event was not just about the calendar but also included a vibrant cultural performance, showcasing Jammu’s local music and dance forms. Urja Singh, the Chairman of the event, announced that the Dogri calendar is now available to the public.
