3 Aug: Rajouri took a decisive step toward youth empowerment on August 2, hosting a one-day Capacity Building Workshop and Entrepreneurship Mela at ITI Rajouri, under the ambitious umbrella of Mission YUVA. This collaborative initiative by the Employment Department and Skill Development Department served as both a celebration of talent and a roadmap for self-reliance.
Presided over by Member Legislative Assembly Budhal, Javaid Iqbal Choudhary, and attended by District Nodal Officer, Mission YUVA (ADC) Rajouri, Chander Prakash Kotwal, the event brought together students, innovators, and educators under one roof with a common goal — to prepare the youth for an entrepreneurial and digitally literate future.
In his address, MLA Choudhary underlined the growing importance of entrepreneurship and innovation in shaping the careers and mindsets of young citizens. He called for a cultural shift, where youth don’t just seek jobs but become job creators, actively participating in nation-building and local economic development.
The day-long engagement attracted students from ITI Rajouri, BGSBU, and local degree colleges, and included skill-building sessions on tools like Canva, Excel, and PowerPoint — essentials in today’s digital-first work environment. A speech competition on Entrepreneurship and Technology invited fresh ideas, encouraging students to articulate and share their visions of innovation.
The event also introduced students to the Mission YUVA app, offering a real-time guide to skilling pathways, loan application procedures, and scheme registration — making government support accessible and actionable.
Adding life to the event was the Entrepreneurship Mela, where departments showcased student projects, start-up models, and skill-based innovations. It was not just an exhibition, but a live demonstration of what the youth of Rajouri are capable of when given the right tools and platforms.
Sessions led by resource persons from JKEDI, ITI Rajouri, and BGSBU Polytechnic further cemented the message — skilling is not an option, but a necessity in today’s rapidly evolving economic landscape. With insights into the JK Startup Policy and financial schemes, the event equipped aspiring entrepreneurs with the know-how to convert ideas into enterprises.
As the workshop concluded with a collective pledge to strengthen the skilling ecosystem, it became clear that Rajouri isn’t just teaching its youth to dream — it’s showing them how to achieve.
