May 26: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh visited the Military Hospital Satwari in Jammu, to personally meet and interact with Indian Army soldiers who were recently injured while performing duties along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border.
The minister’s visit served as both a gesture of solidarity and gratitude on behalf of the nation. He praised the soldiers for their exemplary courage, noting that the country is deeply indebted to the sacrifices made by its armed forces. Dr. Singh spent time speaking with each of the injured personnel, acknowledging their valor and reassuring them of the government’s unwavering commitment to their well-being.
Accompanied by senior army officials and the medical team at the Military Hospital, Dr. Singh reviewed the healthcare services provided to the injured. He was briefed by Brigadier Dr. Fayaz Ahmad, Commandant of the hospital, about the current condition of the patients and the treatment protocols in place. The minister appreciated the dedication of the doctors, nurses, and support staff for providing timely and effective care under challenging circumstances.
Speaking to the media after his visit, Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized that the safety, rehabilitation, and welfare of soldiers is among the highest priorities of the Modi government. He reiterated that initiatives to support the morale and health of defense personnel will continue to be strengthened.
He also highlighted that the government is actively working on improving infrastructure and support systems for troops posted in border areas and conflict zones. Dr. Singh acknowledged the role of medical institutions like Military Hospital Satwari in supporting the Indian Army not just in emergency scenarios, but also in long-term care.
The minister’s visit not only brought emotional comfort to the injured soldiers but also served as a strong message of appreciation from the nation they serve.
