FEBRUARY 25: A team of district administration today initiated several measures to streamline traffic movement and ease congestion in main market areas of Rajouri town ahead of Maha Shivratri festival and Ramzan.

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Khajuria along with a team of officers from different departments conducted the market inspection in the city and Old Bus Stand areas.

During the inspection tour, the officers assessed traffic congestion issues and took concrete measures to streamline vehicular movement for public convenience. The team also interacted with local shopkeepers and vendors. They addressed their grievances and sought compliance with the market regulations.

On the direction of ADC, the concerned departments took corrective measures to decongest key market areas, regulate parking, and maintain cleanliness. Emphasis was laid on coordinated efforts among the traffic police, municipal authorities and other stakeholders to facilitate hassle-free movement.
