Nagoya, September 30: India’s women’s squash team advanced to the semifinals of the 2026 Asian Games, assuring the country of a medal in the team event.
The Indian trio produced a strong performance to defeat China 3-0 in the quarterfinals, securing their place in the last four of the competition.
India’s progression adds another medal to the country’s campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026, where Indian athletes have been competing across several disciplines.
The women’s squash team maintained its composure during the quarterfinal contest against China and completed a clean sweep to book a semifinal berth. With a place in the final four secured, India is now guaranteed at least a bronze medal in the event.
Squash has continued to contribute to India’s medal campaign at the continental sporting event, with Indian players putting up competitive performances across the team and individual competitions.
