Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services Hosts Free Multi-Specialty Medical Camp in Jammu
Jammu, April 18: The Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES), J&K, in collaboration with People’s Hut Foundation and supported by Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity, organized a one-day free multi-specialty medical camp at the F&ES Headquarters, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The initiative, part of the ongoing Fire Service Week and the “Mobile Health Clinic Program” of the People’s Hut Foundation, aimed to improve healthcare access for F&ES personnel and the local community, especially senior citizens, women, and children.
Director F&ES J&K (ADGP) Alok Kumar inaugurated the camp and praised the coordinated efforts of Deputy Director R.K. Raina, Dr. Manju (Medical Officer, Gandhinagar), and Divisional Fire Officer Kanwal Peshin for successfully conducting the event.
A total of 218 patients benefited from the medical services, while 184 availed diagnostic facilities. The camp offered a range of services including diagnostic tests, orthopedic and physiotherapy care, and eye screening.
The Ayush Department also extended its support under the guidance of Director Ayush J&K, Dr. Nuzhat Bashir Shah, further enhancing the scope of medical assistance.
The outreach was well received by the community, highlighting the positive role such healthcare initiatives play in supporting public well-being.
Simultaneously, a similar camp was held at F&ES Headquarters, Batmaloo, Srinagar, under the supervision of Dr. Abrar. Local families and F&ES personnel participated in large numbers, reflecting the success of this statewide effort to provide accessible healthcare.
