APRIL 25: In a significant step towards enhancing rural infrastructure, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pawan Kumar Gupta inaugurated the construction of a new road connecting Dehail to Bakal in Village Hartaryan, Udhampur. The project is being executed under the NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) funding scheme.The newly launched road project comes with a tender cost of ₹3.56 crore, while the allotted budget stands at ₹2.85 crore. Once completed, the road will play a crucial role in improving connectivity between remote villages and main towns, thereby ensuring easier access to essential services, educational institutions, healthcare, and local markets.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including District Development Council Chairman Lal Chand, along with other local dignitaries, government officials, and enthusiastic residents of the area.
While addressing the gathering, MLA Pawan Gupta reiterated the Union Government’s strong focus on strengthening rural infrastructure and empowering communities through better connectivity. “This road project is more than just construction; it’s about building bridges to opportunity, healthcare, and economic growth for the local population,” Gupta said.He assured the public that the construction work would be carried out with utmost transparency, quality assurance, and timely completion, reflecting the government’s commitment to rural development.
